Welcome to Year 2 where learning takes place with Miss Sibthorpe, Mrs Costello, Mrs Harvey and Mrs Nevatia

The children have made a brilliant start to the new school year and have all quickly settled in to their new classroom. We are enjoying exploring the Year 2 curriculum and are eager to challenge ourselves!

We are enjoying our English topic of familiar stories, where the children have been looking at some well-loved stories and basing their learning around them.  So far, we’ve had some excellent similes and setting descriptions for the story ‘Don’t Look in this Book’.

We have also been focusing on developing our ‘growth mind-sets’ and understanding that mistakes always help us to improve and move our learning on.  We know that if we work hard, we can achieve anything we set our minds to.

We can’t wait to see all the amazing work that Year 2 will be doing this year and look forward to seeing you all blossom into lifelong learners!
