Welcome to Year 4!

We have already had a fantastic start to the year and have been busy with lots of exciting learning.

One of our highlights so far has been our work inspired by the book ‘The Barnabus Project’. We have been developing our descriptive writing skills by creating detailed character descriptions based on our own hybrid animals which we created based on the story. We have explored how authors use ambitious vocabulary, expanded noun phrases and carefully chosen details to help readers build a picture of a character in their minds.

We are looking forward to sharing more of our learning and achievements as the year progresses. There are lots of wonderful things to look forward to in Year 4, including exciting class trips and workshops linked to our Design and Technology units.
