Our Kingfisher Council are our school equivalent of a pupil council. Across your child’s time with us, it is our belief all children should have the opportunity to lead and be part of this. Our Kingfisher Council change every term, meeting and working on a regular basis to make our school the best it can be for its children.  Two children from Years 1 to 6 are selected each term to take on this responsibility, with the hope that each child will have had the opportunity to be in the Kingfisher Council by the end of Year 6.

In addition to looking at ways of making our school better, each year the school democratically votes for its chosen focus charity and raises significant sums for the selected charity. We operate a three yearly cycle of global, National and local charities, when choosing which we should support. Over the last 5 years our Kingfisher Council have supported:  Broxbourne Foodbank, Young Minds, UNICEF, Great Ormond Street, HABS, The British Red Cross and this year's charity which is Stroke Association UK. We are delighted our children selected this very worthy cause.

Each charity has benefitted considerably and each year over £2,000 has been raised.

Our Kingfisher Council were involved in the revision of our School Promise and worked with their classmates and teachers in refining and finalising this.
